在PC平台賽車模擬新作「netKar Pro」中，雖然不像平常其他一般的賽車競速游戲那樣會把實際存在的車體、賽道或是車手等等給收錄在游戲內，但是游戲中卻提供了玩家許多自訂項目，例如說是輪胎的空氣壓力、懸吊系統的堅固程度等等都可以讓玩家們來自行調整，甚至玩家還可以設定比賽的環形賽道的氣溫或是賽道路面的表面溫度等等。
nKP是最年輕的“賽車模擬器”，和LFS一樣是獨立的小組單獨開發的。nKP基於早先的netKar，但是對整個物理引擎和圖像引擎進行了徹底的革新，把賽車模擬推向了一個更高的境界。距離來說，一般的賽車游戲當中，你的賽車都是被啟動好的，但是在nKP裡面，你要按順序依次接通主電源，發動機預熱開關，然後旋動點火開關，之後別以為這樣就可以出發了，你還要進行怠速。就是這樣。另外nKP還能夠進行AIM導出，簡單一點說就是它的調教數據和行駛狀態能夠被真正的賽車調教用工具讀取。你完全可以把你的參數和調教和真實世界當中的賽車進行比較。再說簡單一點，你每次游戲後生成的車輛狀態數據都能被任何一個F1車隊技師的筆記本電腦讀取並進行分析。關於nKP和LFS的擬真程度誰高誰低的問題在國外各個游戲的支持者都有自己的看法，但是能把它放在和LFS一樣的位置足以看到nKP也達到了相當的水准。nKP最引以為自豪的就是他的輪胎系統，可以說是迄今為止所有的賽車游戲當中對輪胎模擬最為出色的一個。而且輪胎的物理參數直接作用於對方向盤的反饋，擁有方向盤的玩家可以體會到非常細膩的路面細節。nKP也將采取開放平台的策略，允許第三方供應MOD.
模擬器提供了高級輪胎模型（可以被弄髒，磨破，並在視覺上呈現出來），完全交互式的座艙（就像飛行模擬器一樣）。
開發團體與真實的賽車公司Sparco（設計方向盤，頭盔和賽車服）一起工作，包括AIM顯示器（提供了整套官方AIM數據系統給netKar Pro）、 Cooper/AVON 輪胎，Brembo（剎車系統）和測試工具。他們同樣也工作於Formula 3 team Target Racing車隊，包括賽車工程師Andrea Quintarelli和車手Riccardo Azzoli（駕駛Formula Gloria,雷諾方程式和Formula 3）。
