《黑色行動2》，顧名思義，其單機戰役部分將延續前作2010年的《黑色行動》，只不過這一次爭霸的雙方由“美蘇”變為“美中”，多人聯機網戰將增加新模式和新要素，大家喜聞樂見的喪屍模式也會煥然一新。
