【游戲簡介】
《輻射:新維加斯》是歐美人氣RPG系列輻射新作，並非《輻射3》的續作，本作采用與《輻射3》相近的游戲系統和角色扮演游戲要素，是繼承系列世界觀的一款獨立作品。
游戲設定在中美之間的Great War之後，即一場開始於2077年10月23日，持續不到兩個小時卻造成了巨大毀滅的全球熱核戰爭。在 Great War之前還爆發了能源戰爭，在此期間，聯合國解散，美國因瘟疫流行而局勢緊張，加拿大則被美國吞並。
《新維加斯》以一個大爆炸開始，而並非是一個地下室中的無名幸存者。《USA Today》的報導，一開始玩家扮演的人物會中彈，然後再沙漠中求生，永遠無法完成他的送貨任務。謝天謝地，一個機器人將你挖出，並且帶你去找 Mitchell醫生。在那裡，你可以運用類似《輻射3》的方式來自定義人物。
完畢之後，你將可以探索新維加斯周圍的地區。游戲的年代背景設定在2280年，發生在《輻射 3》之後的許多年，但是《輻射3》的故事並沒有在新維加斯繼續。Bethesda市場部副總經理Pete Hines說：“維加斯依然在運轉，它並不是一座空城，它真實地存在著。你甚至還可以去看脫衣舞。”另外還表示：“該作會有全新的面貌，擁有蔚藍的天空、沙漠以及植物。”可以說在視覺感受上與前作大有不同，並不會有很壓抑的感覺。
《輻射 新維加斯》是一款以《輻射》系列作品原有世界觀為基礎的獨立新作，采用了與《輻射3》相近似的角色扮演游戲方式和游戲系統。由Bethesda與曾擔當《無冬之夜2》、《阿爾法協議》等作品開發的Obsidian Entertainment公司合作開發。
