BAJA 1000 是一項在墨西哥下加利福尼亞洲巴扎半島舉行的著名的越野拉力賽。參賽選手將依靠月光來指路。這項賽事從1967年開始被正式列入官方比賽（它的前身曾是非正式的泥地自行車競賽），賽程最初是從下加利福尼亞洲的提瓦那到南下加利福尼亞的拉巴斯。如今則是從往南70英裡處的恩森納達開始。賽事的時間通常是在美國人慶祝感恩節的那個周末，而感恩節是11月的最後一個星期四，達喀爾開賽往往是在新年元旦，所以這兩個賽事之間只有一個月左右的時間。

       SCORE International Baja 1000 recreates the unforgiving
       conditions and blistering speeds that make this event the
       most recognized and entertaining off-road racing event in
       the world. Sporting over 90 vehicles across multiple classes
       in the real Baja 1000 Ú including trophy trucks, class I,
       motorcycles, ATVs and more Ú the game challenges players to
       not only be first across the finish line, but also keep their
       machine intact. Hyper-realistic dirt and damage modeling in
       the game means players need to be crazy enough to take chances,
       but not so reckless that their vehicle is destroyed before the
       race is over.
