RPG《聖域》系列的開發商德國Ascaron Entertainment由於經營狀況不佳，於今年4月14號向德國地方法院遞交了破產保護申請。公司當時的開發任務是為《聖域2》提供一個資料片，以及後繼作品《聖域3》的策劃工作。好在六月底，游戲發行商Kalypso Media將Ascaron Entertainment收購，並且成立了一家新的工作室，叫做Gaming Minds Studios，這家工作室包含Ascaron的15名開發成員。這樣Ascaron的基本人員得以保全，續作也得以繼續開發下去。今天我們就看到了這款傳說中的資料片《聖域2：冰與血》（Sacred 2: Ice & Blood）。
2004年來自德國的制作公司Ascaron推出了一款動作RPG游戲《聖域（Sacred）》，以類似《暗黑破壞神》的方式進行游戲，推出多種語言版本，也獲得了眾多榮譽。最新一部是2008年發售的《聖域2：墮落天使（Sacred 2：Fallen Angel）》，這款《聖域2》以全3D的方式進行動作RPG。如今2代資料片《聖域2：冰與血》也被公布，讓我們看看這款資料片的新特性。
《聖域2》是一款動作導向的奇幻RPG，玩家將深陷於一場史詩之旅。本作設定在中世紀風格的奇幻王國Ancaria，作為資料片的《聖域2：冰與血》，將增加一名新的Dragonmage職業，一些新的任務和故事情節，新的物品，還有兩塊新的單人游戲地圖以及地圖上的全新怪。
2代游戲的故事架構在虛幻的大陸“Ancaria”，在這個大陸上有一種神奇的能量，被稱做為“T能量”，很久以前，神聖天使“Seraphim”將各種知識傳授給住在大陸上的高貴種族：高等精靈，而高等精靈們很快的就學會運用T能量，讓他們的生活更加便利且富裕，但知識雖然教了高等精靈們許多學問，卻沒有告知T能量潛在的危險性。
不久，在高等精靈間出現了許多分裂，分成了數個小團體，這些團體都想獨得T能量的使用能力，所以爆發了內戰，在一次大戰之中，原本富裕和進步的高等精靈國家開始敗壞，導致更多其他種族的生物想要得到T能量，也開始讓“Ancaria”瓦解，經歷許多戰爭的地區，變的荒涼無法住人，肥沃的土地成了下一個爭戰的目標，戰爭不斷延燒，而傳說中“Shaddar”所派遣的許多英雄當中，預言將會阻止T能量的戰爭。
2代原有的角色有Seraphim、Shadow Warrior、High Elf等，《冰與血》加入了新職業“Dragonmage”。

  The expansion introduces the Dragon mage, an additional main character, as
  well as interesting quests and stories that whisk the player away to new
  adventures in Ancaria. Moreover, the add-on contains two new, unique
  locations and previously unknown enemies, who will challenge action RPG
  gamers with unique tactics of their own. Add to that new in-game items for
  each main character of "SACRED 2 - Fallen Angel", and plenty more useful,
  innovative features. "Ice & Blood" requires an installation of the original
  game.

  Note:
  This is an addon, it is not stand-alone. The original Sacred 2 is required.
  If you're having problems, we recommend a clean install, or if you're using
  Windows 7 try running the game in XP SP3 compatibility mode.
  1. Unrar.
  2. Burn or mount the image.
  3. Install a suitable patch (included in /Patches on the DVD).
  4. Install the expansion. 
  5. Copy over the cracked content to the install\system dir.
  6. Play the game.

We missed a few files essential to this addon in our release. It wasn't
noticed during testing, as this is also a bug that affects this game in
Windows 7, even when properly activated. The bug in question is caused by a
part of Securom which does not work in Windows 7. That's right, the
publisher of this game implemented a feature to annoy the likes of us, while
leaving customers with a non-working game. Apologies for the messup, we
present you with a fix, which should also fix said bug in activated copies.
