本作繼承了邦德系列電影的緊張和刺激，玩家將被卷入一場陰謀中，他們需要像詹姆斯邦德那樣思考並行動。本作還將有多人模式，玩家將會體驗到扮演007特工的感覺，並在網上參與到最多16人的多人模式中，盡情展現自己的操作技術、團隊意識和高超的策略。
　　游戲中的角色的長相和聲音也將與電影中的演員Daniel Craig、Joss Stone和Judi Dench等人非常相似。在本作中扮演最新的邦女郎的是英國著名歌手、作曲家兼演員Joss Stone，她還未游戲譜寫了主題曲《I’ll Take it All》，由她和Dave Stewart共同演繹。
　　此外為了制造槍戰混亂場面又不會太加大難度，制作方還給本作加入了“子彈時間”的概念，但是需要解鎖才能使用。制作人表示，“我們並不喜歡讓玩家一只火箭筒闖天下，所以我們使用反饋來鼓勵人們偷偷靠近對方進行暗殺。
　　游戲的駕駛部分也很有趣。現在公開的車輛並不多，可以肯定的是，正式版中一定會加入更多的車。在示范視頻中，槍戰時不僅有快艇追逐戰，還有直升機出場，看起來游戲更加火爆了。
　　不過遺憾的是，《詹姆斯邦德007：血石》不會帶有多人模式的內容。但是其余模式多達16個。“我們沒有必要做成《使命召喚》，它有它自己的風格。”Davies表示，“這一點和其他游戲有點不同。”
　　雖然《血石》的這些元素都說不上太好，但是如果這款作品能撐起大局的話，或許可以成為解決債務問題的關鍵。動視方面發表的聲明如下：“《詹姆斯邦德007：血石》是根據007系列電影改編，在游戲中玩家將要遭遇精心謀劃的陰謀，需要開動自己的大腦像詹姆斯邦德一樣思考。另外，游戲還將會有多人游戲模式，另外還將首次引入策略目標游戲模式。
