游戲發行商Iceberg Interactive於日前發表了以風帆船為主題的航海模擬游戲《Sail Simulator 2010》。這款游戲將由專精於海事模擬的荷蘭廠商Stentec Software工作室進行研發，並且預定今年2月底就會在英國丶冰島丶法國丶北歐丶德國丶奧地利與瑞士等地區正式上市。
《Sail Simulator 2010》是屬於「Sail Simulator」系列的最新作品，前作是《Sail Simulator 5》，並且於去年12月底才剛推出v5.1.6.0版的更新。發行商宣稱《Sail Simulator 2010》將會是目前最專業的航海模擬游戲，不僅會呈現最精美的畫面品質，同時也要滿足航海迷們的海上航行樂趣，並希望借以吸引更多玩家加入風帆模擬競速的游戲社群。
根據消息來源指出，《Sail Simulator 2010》除了在游戲畫面的品質比前代更上一層樓之外，玩家可以駕駛更多種類與款式的風帆船，並且在游戲中接受基本平衡與賽船的訓練。多人線上競速航海的模式也更為開放且有組織，玩家可以建立自己設計的競賽航線與天氣狀況，游戲中也加入了評等系統，讓玩家了解自己的實力，並且向成績優異的其他水手挑戰，邁向世界頂尖風帆好手之路。
風帆艇的種類更加多樣，包括Laser丶470丶Valk丶VOR70丶Bavaria 36與YD40等；同時游戲中也收錄多個巡航區域，像是Scheveningen丶Cabrera丶Koh Hong與Treasure Island等地區。
