Codemasters今日正式宣布《閃點行動：紅河》，一款全新章節的戰術射擊游戲系列新作正在開發，將在2011年發售。設定在具有真實刺激的美國海軍陸戰隊作戰場景，紅河的史詩般的戰役的新戰場將設定在美麗國家塔吉克斯坦的紅河流域。
向前方進發，《紅河》將采用當代全球地緣政治主題來描繪一場虛構的沖突，在單人模式和支持4人在線合作模式的三場不同種類的行動展示。面對全新的反暴亂戰斗和中國人民解放軍的威脅回歸，玩家將以海軍陸戰隊的視角，在遠離家園的敵對國家感受到緊張的，野蠻的，來自現代沖突的大屠殺場景。
建立在《閃點行動：龍騰》的成功基礎上，《紅河》將帶來廣泛的改進，包括更加具有深度敘事風格的單人戰役模式，效率化的軍備庫和控制系統，改良的敵軍和小隊AI系統，玩家角色類別包含可定制的XP升級和裝備選擇，近身戰斗，全新空中支援選項以及綜合教學模式。
