由其實我們早在《死亡島》發布後，就在它的菜單選項中看到了《萊德·懷特》這個DLC的名字，因此這個DLC發布是遲早的事情。玩過這款游戲的玩家都知道，萊德·懷特是主線劇情的反派角色。這款DLC允許玩家以他的視角來經歷班內島僵屍爆發事件。除了操作萊德進行數小時的游戲外，還加入了全新的武器設計圖。
《萊德·懷特》DLC將於1月31日發布PS3版，售價9.99美元；2月1日登陸Xbox LIVE Marketplace和Steam，售價800微軟點數/9.99美元。
由Techland開發的新游戲《死亡島(Dead Island)》是一款結合了動作要素在內的射擊類游戲，游戲的發生地點是在巴布亞新幾內亞一個熱帶天堂般的孤島上，玩家將扮演於此地度假的角色之一。由於全球的瘟疫化以及遺傳基因學的濫用，導致島上人員變為僵屍，玩家在游戲中必須盡可能的逃脫僵屍們的追捕，想盡一切辦法存活下去。以外，玩家還會隨著劇情慢慢探索到島上的秘密。《死亡島（Dead Island）》是由波蘭游戲公司Techland所開發。這款游戲曾在2007年公布，當初預計2008年上市，結果因為一拖就到現在了。
