　　WorldWide Telescope是微軟桌面望遠鏡軟件。用戶可以觀看夜空，也可以將任何地域的數據放大。
　　微軟表示要加入哈勃望遠鏡和多個環繞地球的望遠鏡，為用戶提供更為准確的數據服務。當用戶查看一個地域時，可以從不同的角度觀看。
　　與谷歌推出的谷歌天空(Google Sky)相比，WorldWide Telescope性能更好。最主要的是其用戶界面，圍繞天空的縮放，實現了無縫操作。在WorldWide Telescope項目中，微軟將使用目前絕大部分的照片技術。
