PhotoLine是一款來自德國的功能強大的圖像編輯和處理軟件，支持掃描儀輸入、圖層等等功能，具備與Photoshop相似的方方面面，在某種程度上，它和PhotoShop一樣好用。也支持許多現成的濾鏡和特效功能，輕輕松松就能做出一些Photoshop實現起來比較困難的令人驚訝的影像效果。
　　PhotoLine 32是一個個子小小，但是具有許多強大功能，而且又容易使用的圖像處理軟件。
　　它具有圖層處理、PhotoShop 濾鏡插件、圖層樣式、網頁圖像制作、網頁動畫制作、矢量作圖、插入文字圖層、多頁面處理(可編輯 PDF 文件、icon 文件)等高級圖像處理軟件的功能。它還能用來批量轉換圖像文件格式(在轉換過程中還可以進行自動化修改操作)、快速浏覽文件夾中的圖片、修正數碼相片白平衡、將點陣圖片轉換為矢量圖片等等，是一個圖像處理的多面手，文本排版強大，並且具備Illustrator和CorelDraw才有的矢量繪圖工具，InDesign才有的頁碼工具。多語言版，支持簡體中文。
　　PhotoLine的主要特性有：
　　1）支持單頁圖片或多頁文檔，支持常見的圖形圖像文件格式，psd、pdf也支持的不錯；
　　2）支持像素、矢量或文字圖層及編組，調整圖層，圖層效果，通道，蒙版和外掛濾鏡；
　　3）各種專業繪畫、調整、輔助和歷史記錄工具應有盡有，內置畫筆、圖案、效果和濾鏡很豐富；
　　4）支持模板、日歷，自帶圖片浏覽器、幻燈功能和圖像格式批量轉換；
　　5）文字排版工具強大，支持圖文繞排、自動頁碼、路徑文字、多塊多頁文字連續排版，標尺控制段落縮進；
　　6）支持切片、按鈕設計器和gif動畫等網頁設計功能，甚至能輸出swf格式的flash。
　　PhotoLine32的界面十分接近photoshop，可以自定義工具、面板和快鍵，比較容易上手。筆者用它繪制線型、編輯文字、修改插圖都很方便，後期已能夠使用它完成工全部作；也能夠較好地輸出PSD文件（只是文字轉換成了圖像）再供photoshop使用，便於與同事協作。如果完全使用它從矢量圖做起，也是能夠勝任的，只是有些工具與photoshop的習慣不一致而已。
