Cubase SX 3中十項最具吸引力的新功能
一、音頻彎曲功能：可實時進行時間延伸及變調操作，同時，加入了對ACID文件格式的支持，循環樣板可自動采用Cubase SX3中的設定拍速，音頻文件可實時改變拍速。
二、播放定制音軌功能可將歌曲按樣板為單位分割成多個部分，自動進行重新分配，通過重新混音和母帶處理，最終變成另外一個版本的歌曲。
三、新型Inplace Editor（就地編輯器）可支持超快速的直接MIDI事件編輯，並且是在項目結構頁面內。在音頻或視頻的環境下也可對MIDI事件進行編輯。
四、新型的MIDI設備圖象以及控制板可支持與外部MIDI硬件的直接連接，並且用戶能利用可自定義的圖形式編輯控制板。此外，可引入VST Mixer Maps或設計出您自己的編輯控制台，甚至包括Track Inspector（音軌監視器）以及混音器的channel strip（控制列）。
五、用戶可自定義的管理界面（視窗布局）能幫助您合理組織桌面設置，可根據需要在音樂制作過程中，為每一個步驟都獨立創建並保存一個管理界面，並能實時進行管理界面的切換，感覺好象是在多台電腦或監視器上同時進行工作一樣。
六、支持音頻工作站連接“Total Recall（全面回憶）”（可與Yamaha的 Studio Manager 2相整合）。這可算得上是在軟件/硬件整合領域中邁出的第一步。該組合式編輯系統在虛擬與實體錄音室之間，建立起了一座功能強大的橋梁。打開一個項目結構能夠回憶起整個錄音室的設置情況，並且這一過程能在很短的時間內完成。
七、支持外部FX插件，可允許將外部硬件效果處理器與VST音頻混響器直接整合在一起。因此，您可以自由使用最喜歡的外部設備，比如說一系列的插件，這其中包括了自動的延遲補償。
八、 “Freeze（凍結）”功能得到進一步的增強，為虛擬設備和音頻軌道的使用提供了更大的靈活性，使其表現更為出色。可在有插入效果或無插入效果兩種情況下凍結虛擬設備，然後自動卸下該設備從而釋放更多的RAM（內存）。通過凍結有插入效果的音頻軌道，這樣可以大大減少CPU占用程度。
九、新型音量包絡控制可直接調節力度變化，也可實時解決訊號級別問題，這並不需要浪費自動化音軌，能攜帶著音量包絡直接移動events（事件）。
十、可使用彩色代號自定義音軌以及VST混響器通道，使其在復雜的操作中便於識別，定位也更加准確。
