These release notes contain important information that was not available when the documentation for the Windows Kernel-Mode Driver Framework was published. You should review each of these notes to determine whether any of them pertains to your specific setup. · Driver Development Kit. This release of the Kernel-Mode Driver Framework can be used for building drivers for Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4, Microsoft Windows XP SP2 and Microsoft Server™ 2003 SP1. This release was tested with the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP1 Driver Development Kit (3790.1830).
· Support for Windows 2000 is subject to the current status of Extended Support provisions. Under this status, Microsoft will not provide fixes for any KMDF defects where the fix is applicable only to Windows 2000.
